About me

Natalie Hodgkiss

LGPC

It is my strong belief that all children can be empowered to self-regulate and grow through life’s challenges. Through building genuine, authentic connections, then developing tools together, I will help your child handle big feelings and become unstuck from unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.

As a former elementary school counselor, my background includes helping children and families navigate anxiety, depression, autism, emotion regulation, and behavioral challenges. I use a child- and family-centered approach to cultivate confidence, resilience, social skills, and self-awareness. I also employ a range of therapeutic modalities in my work, including CBT, play therapy, solutions-focused therapy, expressive arts therapy, and more. Children and families will feel equipped with the specific and practical tools they need to face any challenge after their time with me.

I hold undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development with a focus in School Counseling from George Washington University. I look forward to working with your child and family!
