Claire (Diamonstein) Weinberg

Founder, LCSW-C

I am profoundly passionate about working with children who have Big Feelings and Big Reactions. These children are wired to feel deeply and react strongly to the world around them. As a deeply feeling child myself (and now a deeply feeling adult), I possess a unique ability to decipher children’s emotional experiences, patterns, and the motivating factors behind their choices and behaviors. This is the driving force behind my practice and guides my work every day.

I am dedicated to offering support to children who are struggling to navigate their feelings or who find themselves stuck in unhelpful or unsustainable patterns around their thoughts or behavior. I work with children and parents to first identify the factors driving behavioral challenges, and then work collaboratively to build sustainable solutions. I focus on implementing strategies that build confidence and help children overcome obstacles for the long-term.

I believe every child has unique strengths and therapy can provide a supportive space to navigate big emotions, life changes, and challenges. With experience as a school-based therapist and early childhood educator, I understand the importance of partnering with families and meeting children where they are developmentally. My goal is to help children develop coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and thrive at school and home.

Through building genuine, authentic connections, then developing tools together, I will help your child handle big feelings and become unstuck from unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. It is my strong belief that all children can be empowered to self-regulate and grow through life’s challenges. The goal of my work is to ensure children and families feel equipped with the specific and practical tools they need to face any challenge.
